COMET C/2001 W2 (BATTERS)
     A. Hale, Cloudcroft, NM, reports that this comet showed a 0'.8
coma and total visual magnitude 12.7 on Nov. 22.09 UT (0.41-m
reflector).  Additional astrometry and the following preliminary
parabolic orbital elements appear on MPEC 2001-W53:

COMET C/1996 V1 (SOHO)
     Further to IAUC 7759, D. Hammer reports his measurements of an
additional Kreutz sungrazing comet found by X. Leprette on SOHO
website images that were taken with the C3 coronagraph.  The
reduced astrometry and orbital elements by B. G. Marsden appear on
MPEC 2001-V60.
