SUPERNOVA 2002ee IN NGC 5772
     T. Puckett, Mountain Town, GA; and D. Toth, Lima, OH, report
the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.4) on an unfiltered
CCD frame (limiting mag 19.6) taken with the Puckett Observatory
0.35-m automated supernova patrol telescope on July 29.13 UT.
SN 2002ee is located at R.A. = 14h51m40s.55, Decl. = +40o36'37".3
(equinox 2000.0), which is 18".3 east and 33".9 north of the center
of NGC 5772. The new object was confirmed on unfiltered CCD frames
taken on July 30.17. SN 2002ee does not appear on unfiltered images
taken by Puckett on 1999 Aug. 17, 2002 Apr. 14, and June 10 (limiting
mag about 20.5) or on Palomar Sky Survey images taken on 1996 Apr. 23,
1990 Apr. 26 (limiting mag about 21.0), and 1955 Mar. 27 (limiting
mag about 20.0).
