P. Koubsky, Ondrejov Observatory, reports that observations
with the coude spectrograph on the 200-cm reflector (dispersion 8
A/mm) show that the shell was less pronounced on Dec. 18.86 UT than
on Nov. 26.69. This is contrary to the suggestion on IAUC 2881 and
possibly indicative of short-term variations in the shell spectrum.
