T. Seki (Geisei). From Orient. Astron. Assoc. Comet Bull. No. 119.
H. L. Giclas (Lowell Observatory). Measurer: M. L. Kantz.
B. Milet (Nice Observatory).
J. Young (Table Mountain Observatory). Measurer: S. J. Bus.
K. Tomita (Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, Okayama Station).
D. Morrison, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, reports that
preliminary photometric and polarimetric observations by J. C. Gradie
during Jan. 13-23 indicate V(1,0) = 17.6, B-V = +0.8, U-B = +0.5
and visual geometric albedo ~ 0.21 (confirmed by 10-um radiometry).
The resulting diameter is about 0.8 km. The amplitude of the light
curve is probably less than 0.2 magnitude. 1976 AA appears to be
physically similar to previously studied earth-approaching asteroids.
