SUPERNOVA 1985B IN NGC 4045
     H. Kosai and Y. Kozai, Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, report
that Shingo Horiguchi, Tokorozawa, Saitama, has discovered a
supernova in NGC 4045 at R.A. = 12h00m10s20, Decl. = +2deg15'27"5 (equinox
1950.0; galaxy position end figures 08s40, 19"3; measurements by
Kosai).  Magnitude estimates (Tri-X film) are: 1984 Dec. 30, [17;
1985 Jan. 17.72, 13.0; 26.69, ~ 14 (dates incorrect on telegram).

LILLER'S VARIABLE IN NORMA
H.-E. Schuster, European Southern Observatory, telexes that
H. Drechsel and A. C. Danks used the ESO 1.52-m telescope to
obtain at reticon spectrogram (range 480-780 nm) on Feb. 6.35 UT.
The spectrum exhibited pronounced TiO bands with weak H-alpha and H-beta
emissions typical of an M2-M5 star or semiregular M-type variable.

     R. H. McNaught, Siding Spring Observatory, provides the
following precise position, from a film copy of the 1976 May 5 UKSTU
J plate: R.A. = 15h36m49s07, Decl. = -51deg03'15"1 (equinox 1950.0).
Further visual magnitude estimates: Jan. 30.75 UT, 12.7 (date
incorrectly given as Jan. 31.75 on IAUC 4033); Feb. 6.76, 13.1.

VARIABLE STAR IN ORION
     M. Verdenet, Bourbon-Lancy, France, writes that this object
(IAUC 3763, 3769, 3771, 3778, 3809) has recently brightened. His
visual magnitude estimates are: 1984 Nov. 15, [15.5; 17, 15.0; 20,
14.6; 26, 14.0; 27, 14.3; 1985 Jan. 20, 14.0; 24, 14.3.
